Steve Saxon Addresses RWA In Person

Yesterday I visited the Grangeway Community Centre, home of Runcorn Wrestling Academy, and am very pleased that I did.  I’d never attended an RWA training session before, although have attended many RWA shows over the past 2 years, it was a visit to observe, scout and officially announce in person to the RWA trainee’s about everybody’s future following the announcement that RWA will be the official training school of Britannia Wrestling.

There was a great buzz about the training school and lots of activity, the venue was split into three sections, two ring sized floor mats and the RWA training ring – each of the three head trainers, Corey E, the Babyface Pitbull and World of Sport Legend ‘Gypsy’ John Kenny, trained different techniques, moves, bumps, etc to three groups of trainee’s that were grouped based on age and experience, each group rotated ensuring that everybody had ample time with each trainer and on each lesson.  The professionalism of the whole school is excellent, everybody works together to collectively hold one of the best training sessions that I have ever witnessed in this business.

I then addressed the trainee’s, informing them that Britannia Wrestling Promotions will continue to work with Runcorn Wrestling Academy as we have done for over 2 years, one of the only changes being that I will be attending their weekly training sessions to observe their constant development.  I also informed them that the RWA Head Trainers and I will work together to decide which of the trainee’s will take part in the RWA/BWP Crossover Match at RWA Night of Memories 7 on Saturday 04 February 2012 – the winner of  the match will be officially signed to the BWP Rookie Division – right there, in the RWA ring on 04 February.

It was a great experience to witness two of my former Champions working hard with their trainee’s – Pitbull and Corey are both perfect examples of the positive connection between both RWA and BWP, the respect and commitment that is reflected between both trainer and trainee is distinctly apparent.

It was also great to see John Kenny working closely with the trainee’s and passing on his infinite gems of advice and knowledge of this business onto them.  He’s still got it.

I look forward to returning to RWA next weekend and witnessing another training session that is promised, as always, to be completely different to the previous one.  My visit this week certainly confirmed that there are great things ahead for both Runcorn Wrestling Academy and Britannia Wrestling Promotions.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Runcorn Wrestling Academy is now the official training partner of Britannia Wrestling Promotions.  This deal allows for greater growth for some of the future talent of the British Wrestling circuit – growth that previous RWA trainees have taken advantage of and have gone onto not only headlining Britannia Wrestling, but working for some of the other reputable British Wrestling companies around today.

We have had a healthy, positive and informal working relationship with Runcorn Wrestling Academy for over 2 years but now we are able to work together on a more professional level, monitoring the students in preparation for their transition through training school ranks into the ranks of the BWP Rookie Division.

On Saturday 04 February 2012 I will be making a special guest appearance at RWA Night of Memories 7, I will be there to announce which RWA trainee’s have been selected to compete in a special match on that very night.  The winner of this match will be handed a Britannia Wrestling Promotions contract inducting them into the BWP Rookie Division with immediate affect!

This transition between companies will allow for greater opportunities for the loyal and dedicated trainee’s of RWA and I for one am greatly looking forward to working with Runcorn Wrestling Academy to produce the next crop of Great British Wrestling talent!

Stacey Rose – Gold Magnet

In any sport, the Champions set the standard for the sport and/or promotion.  Champions always steal the spotlight because of their worldwide status as being up there with the worlds elite sportsmen and women.  Britannia Wrestling Promotions are no different to every other sporting business out there, our Champions reflect our product – they have earned their stripes, mostly, and now have the right to declare themselves as part of the worlds best.

If we take a closer look at the current BWP Gold Standard – our PWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion CJ Banks has been heckled and slandered by the BWP fans & followers since winning the title from El Generico earlier this month under most controversial, yet completely legal circumstances, as the top dog of BWP at present, CJ Banks is in that spot because he showed great skill, talent and integrity to earn the chance to be Champion – he took advantage of a vulnerable situation – regardless of how you feel about CJ Banks as a person, he made a smart move.

However away from CJ Banks we have the BWP Rookie Division Champion Craig ‘Danzig Winters and the BWP Tag Team Champions DJ King & Cyanide … all 3 men have two things in common … they are all members of The Brand … and they are all always escorted to the ring by Stacey Rose.

Without a doubt, The Brand are dominating and bar-setting faction within Britannia Wrestling Promotions – but the Superstars holding the titles are not necessarily the sole reason for their recent successes.  There is one person, at least, that stands in the background mostly, occassionally more visibly and physically involved than they perhaps should be, non-the-less, they are there … and without them there with The Brand, maybe there would be no Brand!

Stacey Rose … long term valet to The Brand as well as with other British Wrestling Superstars, Stacey Rose always leaves a mark on any promotion she steps in to.  In the BWP Stacey Rose immediately joined the ranks of The Brand, mainly due to her friendship with current BWP Tag Team Champion DJ King, but has proved her worth since her arrival by continuing her own personal resume of championships!

Stacey Rose celebrates with The Brands DJ King & Cyanide – NEW BWP Tag Team Champions

Since Stacey Rose joined The Brand she has valeted former 2xPWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion El Destello before his back injury forced him into early retirement earlier in 2011 rendering the Catchweight Championship vacant, a decision that Miss Rose was clearly unhappy with.  Also within The Brand Stacey Rose played an integral role in Craig Winters’ BWP Rookie Division Championship win against Jacob Israel in the notorious Prestatyn Death Match, taking the brunt of an alarming steel chair shot to the head that was intended for Winters.  Stacey also assisted The Brands DJ King & Cyanide to finally capture the BWP Tag Team Championships from Classic Combo at Denbigh Town Hall Brawl III last month, again never afraid to get physically involved with any wrestler, Miss Rose played a constant distraction to ‘Classic’ Ciaran McConnell and Corey E – enough so that they walked away from the Welsh town with nothing more than their kit bags, where as DJ King, Cyanide and Stacey Rose celebrated in style as the new Tag Team Champions.

Outside of Britannia Wrestling Promotions Stacey also valets for Superstars at sister company Runcorn Wrestling Academy.  Miss Rose currently managed the RWA Heavyweight Champion as well as being a big reason behind the RWA Tag Team Championship title wins of the A-List (AC Kage & Adrain Myers) … one of the most successful and recognised tag teams in RWA history!

A rose between 2 thorns …. RWA Tag Team Champions The A-List

It seems that no matter which wrestling promotion that Miss Stacey Rose decides to bless with her presence, she is the go-to diva if you want to seriously seek wrestling gold and media recognition.  If you are reading this and you wrestle for Britannia Wrestling Promotions, then you may seriously need to re-look at The Brand – who they are – what they do – why they do it  …  because Miss Rose certainly seems to have settled her roots within The Brand … so now, in the BWP at least, it seems that if you want, or need, Stacey Rose’s services … you may need to go through The Brand to get them!

Things Are About To Heat Up

BWP General Manager Rudy Wynne has announced that he has secured a business deal that will send Britannia Wrestling Promotions to the top of the rankings.

For some time BWP have established a friendship with the Runcorn Wrestling Academy (RWA) through their much acredited training centre.  Rudy Wynne has agreed terms with the RWA Management that will allow the RWA roster to appear and compete at sanctioned BWP shows and events.

In a statement to the BWP Website – the Word had the following to say.

“This will be the first of many strong business arrangements for the BWP. This is the first time that the BWP have contacted the best of the best of other organizations to showcase their talent on the BWP events. This will serve two purposes. The first is to put certain members of the BWP locker room on notice. None of them are irreplaceable, and any body who feels that they can question my authority, will find themselves to be surplus to requirements.

Furthermore, by showcasing the best of other organizations, we can help advance our own shows, producing some strong wrestling events featuring high quality wrestlers. Maybe now that – whilst some of my decisions aren’t popular to some of the short sighted fans of the BWP – they are done with their best interest in heart. Maybe one of these new talented individuals will upsurp Seb Winterz and become a deserving Catchweight Champion. As General Manager, I can only hope.”

This shock announcement will undoubtably stir a reaction from the BWP locker room, how will the inclusion of the RWA Superstars reflect on the BWP?  Will we see a RWA contender to the BWP title?

As soon as we obtain further news and updates on this major revelation, we will be sure to keep you updated.
