McGrou was suspended by BWP Founder Steve Saxon earlier this year for his continued physical interference in the matches of Destello, of whom McGrou supplies ‘back-up’ to. Will McGrou remain at the side of Destello when he returns to action?

Many have noticed that since McGrou was last seen in Llanwrtyd Wells in March 2009 – Destello’s win/loss record has dropped drastically – will that suddenly change again now?

We are also happy to announce that we will show a ‘late night’ version of EWW TV for the older fans of the promotion. Tapings begin later this month and the show is set to air August/September with a confirmed date to be announced in July. However we urge all wrestling fans to come down to the TV tapings and enjoy a sneak peak before the show airs!

Earlier today the BWP received an interesting phonecall from The Red Dragon who was clearly enraged and bitter about the occurrences of last Friday nights Eliminator Final, as he was taken out by the overall victor, Tommy Gunn, with a little assistance from SuperNatural, Metal, who came to the aid of Gunn in order to even the odds as both Jay Icon and The Red Dragon beat down an already wounded Gunn with a kendo stick.

The Red Dragon has expressed that he was only informed of the change of the rules from a standard elimination match to a no disqualification match mere seconds before the match was due to begin. The Red Dragon has complained that he was ill prepared for the match, thus was caught “off guard” by a singapore cane shot from Metal. The Red Dragon lodged an official complaint against Senior Referee Rudy Wynne, and requested that the match be rulled null and void.

BWP Founder, Steve Saxon, has since stated that although he agree’s with the notion’s of The Red Dragon, circumstances were out of his control for the change. Furthermore, both him and Tommy Gunn had the same length of time to prepare for the match, and as a professional, he should be more ready for exceptional circumstances just like those on Friday. Therefore, the decision stands.

The Red Dragon was not happy with the Sax Mans statement and declared that no matter what, he would ensure that would be the first man to be crowned the new BWP Catchweight Champion … and in the meantime he has his sights set on the young Metal, who cost him the chance at becoming the new champ … Dragon certainly see’s that he has a score to settle with the young Englishman … how will Metal react to this news? Will he accept the loose challenge that The Red Dragon seems to be issuing? And what for Tommy Gunn? Will he take the guarantee’s of the Dragon as a serious threat or as an angry losers call of retribution?

Stay posted for further updates ….

Last night, Silverdale Stoke on Trent witnessed a hard hitting and extreme evening of professional wrestling, as eight of the BWP’s toughest Superstars competed in the BWP Eliminator Tournament … but only one man stood tall and victorious at the end of the evening, having taken out four of the eight competitors, ‘Rapid Fire’ Tommy Gunn defied the odds and was crowned the first number one contender for the new BWP Championship Title.

With the crowd strongly backing Gunn throughout the night, as he finished off the ‘Brummie Bad Ass’ Jay Icon with a massive springboard splash … but not before being bust wide open by Icon, but this was still not enough to put Gunn away as he proceeded to the final of Eliminator against other Round 1 winners, The Red Dragon, Seb Winterz and El Destello.

As The Red Dragon walked away from the match and assisted commentator Jason Sinclair as Tommy Gunn managed to fend off the onslaught of El Destello & Seb Winterz and hit them both with a double SY5 finisher, eliminating both the Mexican & Russian! As Gunn watched the 2 International Superstars fighting with referee Rudy Wynne, The Red Dragon seized his chance and returned to the match, along with Gunn’s earlier opponent Jay Icon.

Both men beat down the already tired and wounded Tommy Gunn, setting him up for a knock-out shot with a kendo stick, until Gunn was both smart and quick enough to dodge the attack, as The Red Dragon smashed Icon over the head with the kendo stick …. as Dragon was distracted by his own actions, Metal came to the aid of Tommy Gunn as he took out The Red Dragon with the same kendo stick, giving enough time for Tommy Gunn to regain his momentum and get the 123 on the Dragon to be crowned the BWP Eliminator Tournament winner.

Gunn was badly injured and received medical attention at North Staffordshire Hospital as he received several stitches to his right eye, as well a treatment for a gash to his right arm. He has stated that he will be 100% fit and well to take on the next contender for the BWP Championship, whoever that may be.

‘Professional wrestling comes to North Staffordshire this weekend. Stars of Britannia Wrestling Promotions (BWP) will be at Silverdale Working Mens Club tomorrow night.

The show will run for more than two hours and features a number of live bouts. Wales’ 25-stone Red Dragon will face any challenger brave enough to get into the ring.

The event will also mark the return to Silverdale of BWP Founder, Steve Saxon, who has not been back to hometown for over 12 years. The former Sneyd High School pupil moves to Wales with his parents at the age of 15. He said “The show will feature the highly anticipated BWP Eliminator Tournament pitting eight wrestlers in a tournament to crown the new number one contender for the new BWP Championship belt”.

Hot off the trails of the Llanwrtyd Wells show last weekend see’s the fastly approaching Silverdale event already picking up speed as the brewing rivalry between 2 of the BWP’s recently signed tag teams appears to be gaining momentum as The Transiberian Express and SuperNatural are set to face off at the next BWP event on April 3rd.

Last weekend saw TSE pick up their first victory over the English boys, SuperNatural here in the BWP. Having caught up with both SuperNatural brothers, it appears that the antics of their Russian opponents has done nothing less than fed their desire to perform, both Brothers expressed their devotion to this business and that they with the fans support and backing will gain retribution over Night Stalker & Seb Winterz at the next BWP event in Silverdale, Stoke on Trent.

BWP Owner, Steve Saxon, stated that although the next BWP event is scheduled to be the BWP Elimination Challenge, pitching 9 men in 5 matches to crown just 1 winner … however he would accomodate the request of SuperNatural in
some form, however a tag team re-match would not be permitted due to the nature of the advertised event.

What will The Sax Man have in mind for his 2 top tag teams on 3rd April? How will the tag team members handle the BWP Eliminator Challenge? It appears that this brewing battle is set to continue sooner than we had originally anticipated, as we now know that 4 of the 9 participants of the Silverdale Eliminator Challenge are Metal & Nelos of SuperNatural and Seb Winterz & Night Stalker of The Transiberian Express!

This week we are interviewing the wild Texan, McGrou … BWP: Firstly McGrou, thank you for offering to be the first wrestler to contribute to the Superstar Interviews Blog and for your time today to answer some questions for britanniawrestling.co.uk. McGrou (MG): Pleasure to be here, and of course it was only natural that you would ask McGrou to be the first entrant on your new blog. BWP: Of course, so McGrou … the BWP fans will be used to seeing you as the manager of El Destello ….. MG: … (interupts) … I think you mean International Managing Sensation don’t you? BWP: Of course, sorry … would you like to share a little about what you did before managing, Internationally & Sensationally, El Destello? MG: You know, Destello is cool … I watch his back, he pays me top dollar, its a good relationship. But before my managing & coaching days, I was bustin’ asses back in Houston, Texas for over 7 years man, when McGrou was in town, people knew that asses were gonna get whooped! You dig fool? BWP: Indeed I dig McGrou … is it true that you were involved in an accident of some form which is the reason you can not wrestle no more? MG: You dissin’ me dawg? You sayin McGrou is some kinda *****? Yeah OK, I was involved in an in-ring accident whilst beating the crap out of Bulldozer Bill … you see, I set BB up for a big ass drop, from the top of the first balcony level in the hall we were working in, I suplexed his ass 25ft in the air straight into the centre of the ring. That suplex won me the match, and the gold that night, but cost me and Bulldozer Bill our wrestling careers …. so yeah, McGrou was put on the shelf, but I’ll still kick your ass, and anybody elses that wants to put me to the test! BWP: No, no McGrou, please calm down … I was certainly not questioning your current or past ‘ass whooping’ abilities! MG: Dam right you not fool! BWP: Okay, so you have been in the UK for 3 years now I believe? What do you think about our wonderful country? MG: It pretty much sucks over here don’t it? The weather is awful, where’s the god dam sun? No wonder you guys are so god dam pale, you need a tan man, healthy like, you know? It seems that the British wrestling talent matches their countries weather … dull, wet and miserable! If it wasn’t for the likes of us Americans coming over here to add come colour to your shows, there would be no wrestling industry in this country! BWP: Have you tried fish & chips? MG: —No Response— BWP: ….. Okay … I think we should wrap it up now McGrou, thank you for your time and comments today and I hope that you get to experience a better side to the UK than what you seem to have experienced thus far. MG: Get outta my way fool ………. ** At this point McGrou abruptly and violently left the room, shoving the BWP interviewer to the floor and verbally insulting him. McGrou will not be asked to return to the Superstars Interview Blog anytime soon.
