New General Manager Hunt To Start!

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

new gm

BWP Founder Steve Saxon is to soon announce his plans to put in place a new General Manager to oversee and run all BWP shows and events.

Following the end of Rudy Wynne ’s 11 month reign as BWP General Manager back in May 2010, Steve Saxon has been making a number of positive changes to the BWP to ensure a fairer promotion for BWP Superstars, Crew and Fans. One thing that Saxon has brought back is the Sure Shot Challenge that is currently in the qualifying stages, which will result in a massive 6 man ladder match in August to determine who will get that Sure Shot contract for the BWP World Title.

Steve Saxon has stated that he now feels the BWP is back on an even keel and that it is time for the next General Manager to be decided – but who does the BWP Founder have in mind to be the next person to rule the Britannia ranks?

Saxon has stated that he will announce his plans for the next GM within the coming weeks …

NEW Superstar Interview – Rudy Wynne

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

Hells Bells (HB) says
: Well I’m rather unexpectedly here with Rudy Wynne , the BWP General Manager as he has demanded his right to reply to Jim ‘The Metal ’ King’s recent interview
Hello Rudy.

Rudy Wynne (RW) says: Good evening

HB says:  So to start I need to ask why you have felt the need to respond to Jim’s comments and what in particular has got you so riled?

RW says: Well, it’s the impetuousness of youth that got me annoyed. Being the General Manager it is my responsibility to put on the best show with the most competitive matches I possibly can. My phone rings off the hook most days from men & women with more talent than Jim wanting an opportunity to prove themselves. Jim had that opportunity, and what has he done? Formed “The Justice Circle” with Sebastian Winterz & G-Man! Hell bent on compromising my position as General Manager. So yes, when people threaten my job, my livelihood & my ability to feed my family, I get riled.

HB says: So as you feel that Jim is trying to undermine you, are you intending to do anything about it?

RW says: I already have. I’ve removed him from the one show he wanted to be on, his hometown show in Abergele. Men like Jim foolishly aren’t motivated by money, so I can’t hurt his pocket but by not fulfilling his dreams, I’m reminding him who’s the boss & who’s the pesky little runt.

HB says: Rather a cruel decision as he is, as you pointed out young but of course you are the Manager so that is your decision to make.
You must have read that he intends to attend the show. Do you have anything planned in case he does turn up?

RW says: Of course, extra security will be on hand. It is my responsibility to make sure the fans from Abergele are treated to a great show, and not spoiled by disgruntled employees.
Plus if the worst comes to the worst, I’ve got the Word Association. They’ve dealt with Jim before, they’ll deal with him again.

HB says: I presume you are referring to Jim’s brother, Marcus King as well as Lord Graham Thomas and El Destello .

RW says: Yes. Marcus is a shining example of what I wanted Jim to mature into. Marcus knows what side his bread is buttered, and he is being rewarded a lot better financially. Jim said he lives in Abergele and Marcus lives in London. There’s a reason why : he’s paid a lot better than Jim, and he can afford to.

HB says: That is interesting as I doubt that the fans realised that you paid Marcus more than Jim. Is Jim aware of that?

RW says: He is now.

HB says: Well I think he will have something to say about that.
So how do you feel about the comments made about you pushing Marcus over the edge into darkness?

RW says: Darkness? How? I’m a fair man, and everybody acts on their own free will. I put on a match that I imagine the fans wanted to watch, not my fault that Jim lost that match & the respect of his brother. Marcus is competitive, not dark. Would you call David Beckham dark? Or Roger Federer? Or any other professional athlete? No. Marcus is a professional athlete, and he wants to be the best in the world. It’s not dark.

HB says: You make is sound so plausible but I somehow doubt that you would see Beckham or Federer behaving in the manner we have recently seen from Marcus, especially against G-Man where he has been instrumental in altering the outcomes of a number of matches in the favour of G-Man’s opponents.
Are you saying you condone this type of behaviour?

RW says: I give people a free reign over what they do, and G-Man is free to interfere if he wants. If he’s too stupid to keep Marcus in check, it’s not my problem.

HB says: I’m sure all the wrestlers will take your words into account.
Now one other thing Jim mentioned in his interview is that he would like to see himself as the BWP champion in 12 months time. Will you ever give him that opportunity?

RW says: As I said, everybody gets an opportunity. I’m sure I’ll find him a spot in a match within the next 12 months. Whether he grasps it & challenges El Destello for the title, who knows? I highly doubt it, though.

HB says: Is there anything else you would like to say at this point to Jim or anyone else from the Justice Circle?

RW says: Well I’ve fought many battles in my life. They’ve not been in the ring, but I’ve won most, if not all of them. You don’t become General Manager to lose, or by being a loser.
Learn to deal with me because you will be dealing with me for a lot longer.
G-Man, Seb & Jim, I’m begging you, stop your petty minded rebellion because you just won’t win. Instead, concentrate on your opponents and Jim concentrate on what you’ll be watching on TV on the 23rd. For the rest of the BWP Nation, you will be treated to a wrestling master-class from the Word Association on the 23rd January in Abergele.
I personally guarantee it.

HB says: Well that is a comprehensive interview Rudy and will I am sure give the wrestlers, especially the ‘Rookie of the Year’, Jim King food for thought.
Now although this is an impromptu interview would you like to finish in the usual way of the one word association answers.

RW says: No. I am a busy man & both you & Jim have taken up enough of my time.

HB says: Well if that’s the way you want it Mr Wynne then fine and I’m sure this will not be the last interview you demand somehow.

RW says: I’m sure of that.
I’m a busy man, but often my name gets sullied through the mud like what’s happened with Jim. I feel as General Manager I should use official channels to put people to right.

HB says: That is your prerogative of course and with that I will close this interview. Thank you for your time

RW says: No problem.

BWP Tag Team Turmoil

Monday, December 28th, 2009

The Superstars of Britannia Wrestling Promotions will kick off 2010 with its highly anticipated BWP Tag Team Turmoil event live from North Wales.

The event, which will be tag team orientated, will feature such tag teams as The New TranSiberien Express, The Word Association, The Justice Circle, Storm, Shockwave and many more!

The main event of the evening will be an innovative and bar raising match that is being dubbed the Lethal Lottery.  The idea of this competition is that the attendance audience will decide which of the 12 tag team members will team with each other.  This means that enemies and opponents could be forced to team with each other in a massive 12 man eliminaion tag match – where two teams of 6 Superstars each will battle in an elimination style match, until one team is completely eliminated to decide the final winner(s).

In addition to the tag team theme of the event, there will be one singles match-up – between the newly crowned British wrestling BWP World Catchweight Champion El Destello as he goes one on one against the MMA Fighting Machine, ‘The Knockout’ Brad Matthews .  Why has Brad Matthews been chosen to face the Lethal Luchador in his first ever title defense?  BWP General Manager, ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne , has hand selected Brad Matthews for ‘his’ champions’ first match.  This will be Matthews’ first match back with the BWP since his serious shoulder injusy several months ago, some have said that Rudy Wynne has selected Brad Matthews for this reason alone, to give his champion the upper hand – but will Brads sabbatical from the ring be enough to give the Mexican Masked Monster the advantage?

Stay tuned for further updates and advances in news for the first ever BWP Tag Team Turmoil event.

Sheik Abdul Bashirs TNA Departure Legit

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

As seen this past Sunday night at TNA Final Resolution, Sheik Abdul Bashir, real name Shawn Daivari, took part in the “Feast or Fired” match and was able to grab one of the four briefcases. However, the briefcase he drew contained a pink slip, which led to him being immediately fired from the company.

For those wondering of the legitimacy of his departure from the organization, his departure is in fact legitimate. He said his goodbyes to fellow colleagues prior to the event.

There are conflicting reports going around on whether it was the company or Daivari responsible for the parting of ways. While those close to the former X Division champion say he handed in his notice, those within TNA are saying it was the company’s decision to let him go.

Daivari had been with the company since last year and signed a contract renewal over the summer, but had not been used in a meaningful way in quite some time.

BWP Award Winner: Jim ‘The Metal’ King

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

jimking
Hells Belles (HB) says: So here I am with Jim ‘The Metal ’ King and I have 4 questions to ask him about winning the tag team award and rookie award,
Q1 How do you feel about winning your awards?

Jim King (JK) says: Very good! I was pleased the crowd chose me to be rookie of the year, it’s definitely one of the highest, if not, the highest point of my career thus far. As for winning the tag team of the year, if this was a few months ago I would have been just as pleased..I’m sure the BWP nation knows why I’m not as proud as I should be over that one. All in all I thank them for voting me.

HB says: That’s great and leads nicely to the second question
Q2 Why do you think the fans voted for you?

JK says: The modest answer would be for me to say that for the most part, the candidates were either lesser known to the BWP crowd or douchbags..to put it bluntly. But I like to think that they voted me because I’m something new, fresh and exciting. I just hope they’ll keep supporting me and my quest for justice for the ongoing months to come.

HB says: I hope they will as well Metal and thinking about your colleagues leads to question three.
Q3 If you had been presenting this award, who would you have given it to and why?
Of course you can answer for both awards

JK says: Hmm, that’s a tough one..but I think I’m gonna go with Zack Diamond, although not as known to the BWP crowd, we’ve met before and had a lot of fun in the past. I know what he’s capable of and I wouldn’t have been surprised if he took the award this year. The tag-team, I’m not so sure. They’ve only just begun sprouting up here and there now. The only other choice would be the Transiberian Express.

HB says: That’s a good choice for rookie but as you say it is harder to choose an alternative tag team. Now just for fun comes the final question in this short interview.
Q4 If you could have won any award, real or imaginary, what award would you have liked to win?

JK says
: The award for the sweetest revenge which I WILL have, I haven’t beaten my brother yet.. but it’s only a matter of time. Only then can I start to move on from this all. Whether it be the upcoming show in January, or the next show, the one after that, or the one after that, I’m going to beat Marcus, I’m going to move on..and me, Sebastian Winters and the G-man will bring justice to the Word Association

HB says
: An interesting award there Jim and only time will tell if you see your wish fulfilled. Well thank-you for answering the questions and congratulations again on winning your well deserved awards.

Things Just Got Bigger For Motivator and Diamond

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

phoenix_motivator_zack_jack

Earlier today BWP General Manager ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne announced that he has added 2 additional Superstars to the match that was originally scheduled to take place between The Motivator and Zack Diamond.

Wynne declared that this will now be a tag match, pitting The Motivator with Sean Phoenix to square off against Zack Diamond and a BWP recent acquisition Jack Lightening.

How will this shock announcement affect both The Motivator and Zack Diamond?  Just 5 days before what they thought was going to be a one-on-one confrontation, will the aid of a tag partner assist them in victory or damped their original plans?

Sax Issues Sure Shot Challenge

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

BREAKING NEWS: BWP Founder, Steve ‘The Sax Man ’ Saxon, has confirmed that he will be having even more say at the next BWP Event, Cruel Intentions in Wrexham, North Wales on Saturday 7th November 2009 by setting one of the many matches to be held that night.

The Cruel Intentions event is the brain-child of BWP General Manager Rudy Wynne , but BWP Founder Steve Saxon has declared that one match of that particular event will be for the ‘Sure Shot Challenge’ which means that the winner of the match/challenge will be awarded a unique legallly binding contract that will allow them to call for a shot at the BWP World Catchweight Championship any time within 12 months of winning the match.

Sax has stated that ‘through the interest of fairness, after the Stoke show and viewing videos of the Liverpool show, it appears that my illustrious General Manager, Rudy Wynne, has taken a disliking to BWP Superstar The G-Man Simon Gaytley .  I feel that it is not good business to single out a competitor, especially one that draws as much attention and money as The G-Man does right now, therefore representing myself in the Sure Self Challenge will be none other than The G-Man Simon Gaytley.  This is my final decision, and not one that The Word may alter – however in the same ‘interest of fairness’ I am allowing and willing Rudy Wynne to select a member of the BWP Roster to have the 2nd entry in this challenge, therefore he may select any Superstar he deems appropriate to face Simon Gaytley – the winner of the match will then gain themselves a chance to call for a title shot against the champion, whomever that may b, at any time within a 12 month period from the date that the match commences.’

This ground shattering news will certainly be a call for the BWP General Manager to take immediate action.  Who will The Word select to represent him at his aptly named Cruel Intentions event on November 7th?  With a BWP title shot in the balance, as well as being able to face and beat the boss, Steve Saxon, The Word Rudy Wynne will have all eyes focused on him.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Brothers At War

brothers at war

YouTube Preview Image
The BWP Nation watched in amazement as Brothers Jim & Marcus King battled against each other at the Crosby Takeover Show in Crosby, Liverpool on September 11th 2009.  This sibling rivalry began back in July as BWP General Manager ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne put the Brothers in a BWP World Catchweight Championship qualifying match, both siblings seemingly seemed reluctant to enter the match together, but none-the-less commenced in what began as a friendly battle as instructed by the newly appointed GM.

Although the match began as a friendly exchange of wrestling moves, it soon became clear that the older brother Marcus King was focused on putting himself in the final match for the BWP gold as he turned on his younger brother The Metal .  Since that life changing night in Wrexham, Marcus King has shown his allegiance with the BWP GM and has tried to put his younger brother down at every opportunity – and in Crosby this past week, the brothers finally got the opportunity to prove which of the two was the better in the ring as they fought tooth and nail in front of a lively crowd.

The match was brutal from start to finish – the end result was disappointing for both of the brothers as well as for the BWP Nation as no winner was declared as both men were knocked out after a death defying and life threatening move put both competitors out for the count – referee Tom Richards had no alternative but to declare the match a draw as neither brother was fit to continue the match – they had literally battled each other to the point that neither man could stand.

This clearly indicates that both men will meet once again somewhere down the line, for pride, for reputation and for their own peace of mind – when will this return battle take place?  All eyes are on BWP General Manager Rudy Wynne to set the date, one thing is for sure, if their last epic battle was anything to go by, the BWP Nation will be in store for a sensational match up!
