Results for the sold out BWP Tag Team Turmoil show held in Abergele, North Wales on Saturday 23rd January 2010.

Match 1
SPECIAL GUEST MATCH – UNBILLED
Johnny Rose v Mandrake (Irish Whip Wrestling Heavyweight Champion)

This unbilled match was a last minute addition to the Tag Team Turmoil show, the current Irish Whip Heavyweight Champion, Mandrake took on the popular English brawler, Johnny Rose.

These 2 big mean battled for around 15 minutes, the fans clearly showing support for the Englishman as they heckled and booed the Irish Champion.

However, regardless of the fans distractions, Mandrakes superior power was too much for Rose and he finished him off and got the 3 count from a roll up pin, and fully utilising the ropes for leverage.

Winner: Mandrake

Match 2
The Justice Circle v ShockWave

The match started out well for the Justice Circle, as G-Man and Seb Winterz managed to fend off the super-heavyweight Phoenix and Motivator.  Motivator was somewhat distracted by a pork-pie that he had hidden in his not-so-flattering bright green leotard.  That pork pie must have given Motivator some motivation as he was able to beat down the fan favourite G-Man.

At one point, ShockWave had G-Man tied up in their corner, using G-Mans pink feather boa to choke him out – with referee Tom Ball distracted trying to split this up – BWP World Catchweight Champion El Destello ran to ringside and took out Seb Winterz – Destello savagely attacked Winterz with his Singapore Cane – pounding Sebs shoulder several times leaving the big man rolling on the floor in clear pain.  Fortunately, Justice Circle member, Jim ‘The Metal ’ King, who was not booked on the show, was in attendance in the crowd and ran to the aid of his partner.  Jim chased off the Champ and returned to assist Seb who was in desperate need of some medical attention.  The G-Man and referee Tom Ball temporarily stopped the match whilst Seb was carried out of the venue to be taken to the local hospital.

The match then continued as a 2 on 1 battle – no matter how much heart or passion G-Man has and no matter what he tried to fight off these 2 monsters, it was not enough, after 2 ring shaking avalanche splashes into the corner, Phoenix hit a devastating J-Driver on The Prince of Pink – enough was enough – Phoenix pinned a courageous G-Man for the win.
Winner: ShockWave

Match 3
Storm v The Word Association with Rudy Wynne

The Word Association met one of the newest and youngest tag teams to enter the BWP – Storm, made up of Element and Demoni.  Lord Graham Thomas and Marcus King certainly gave the newcomers a Word Association welcome as they battered and beat them in their usual manner.  However, the W.A. members were clearly not prepared for Storms own offensive material, as Storm took the W.A. to the limit, almost gaining a couple of near pins on Rudys men.

As much as Storm tried, and as much as the crowd got behind the youngsters, it was not enough to put them over on the experienced Word Association as LGT finished off Element with a steal chain to the head after Rudy Wynne distracted the referee and handed LGT the foreign object.

Winner: The Word Association

Match 4
Zack n Jack Attack v The New TranSiberien Express

This match saw the return of the evil and sinister Night Stalker as he reformed The New TranSiberien Express, this time, his new tag team partner completing the Russian duo was Springbok who soon made it obvious that he was as demented and sickening as Stalker.

The reformed duo went face to face with the aerial masters Zack n Jack Attack – Zack Diamond and Jack Lightening.  The match was very high paced and high impact as the Russians fought tooth and nail to make their mark on the BWP Tag Team Turmoil by beating one of the most popular tag team duo’s in British history.  Although their efforts were impressive, they were not good enough to stop the Zack n Jack Attack as they picked up the victory and prevented the new TSE from making their mark!

Winner: Zack n Jack Attack

Match 5
BWP WORLD CATCHWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Brad ‘The Knock-Out’ Matthews v El Destello (Champion) with Rudy Wynne and UnaMannera

Before this match kicked off, BWP General Manager ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne informed the Abergele crowd that he was not happy with the choice of referee for the match, as senior referee Tom Ball was to familiar and friendly with El Destellos opponent, Brad Matthews .  After publicly dismissing Tom Ball Rudy introduced the newest BWP referee to the ring, a fair and impartial official that will have no problem with calling the match down the middle … Mr Phil Race.  Phil Race entered the ring and quickly showed exaclt how ‘impartial’ he would be as he shook the hands of Rudy Wynne, El Destello and UnaMannera only to turn away from Brad Matthews as he extended his hand to welcome the new ref.

As the match was about to start – out walked The G-Man to the stage, who approached the commentators table and sat alongside BWP commentator Jay Sinclair.  G-Man informed the crowd and Rudy that he was there to watch the back of Matthews, as he knew first hand what The Word Association is capable of doing, especially now they have their own referee on board!

Rudy asked for the bell to ring to start the match – however this was again delayed as Jim ‘The Metal’ King entered the ring from him ringside seat that he was forced to pay for having been dropped from the Tag Team Turmoil show by Rudy Wynne.  An irate Wynne demanded to know why King was there … only to be cut off by The Metal who told Rudy to shut up and listen!  Jim informed Rudy that he knows why he was cut from the show – because The Word Association is scared of Jim and The Justice Circle … and he knows that Rudy was behind the earlier attack on his partner Seb Winterz.  Rudy denied these allegations and asked The Metal to leave his ring.  Jim then said that he thought he should be involved in this show, as its his hometown, and that he should be entered into this title match as a third entrant!  As the crowd cheered for Jims proposal Rudy informed Jim that it was not going to happen, however as Rudy is a fair person, he would allow King to enter the Lethal Lottery match as The G-Mans partner seeing that Seb wasn’t able to compete and that Jim needs to make sure that he is on the winning team if he wants a title shot, as the surviving team members in the Lethal Lottery would proceed to a number one contenders match next month at the BWP Rural Rumble.  Jim accepted this offer, and told Rudy ‘Justice will be served!’.

Finally, the bell was rung and the match took place … Matthews had a strong following of fans raising the roof, this was clearly distracting to Destello as he seemed reluctant to tie-up with Matthews.  Destello, Rudy, UnaMannera and Phil Race pulled out all of the stops to put Brad Matthews down, all of them were involved in this gang beat down … but it was not enough for them to gain the upper hand as a defiant Brad Matthews overcame the odds and managed to take out Destello with his impressive ‘never die’ attitude.  At one point, Destello decided to whip Matthews into his own referee knocking Phil Race clean out – this showed that the pressure was on the Champ to do whatever it took to retain his title.  As Destello claimed his trusty Singapore Cane to drive into Matthews head, it showed that Matthews had done his homework and managed to dodge the attack and put Destello down with a number of brutal MMA style punches and kicks.  Brad then went up top and hit the Lethal Luchador with a face crushing flying fame-asser.

As the ref was down, and Brad was pinning a beaten Destello, referee Tom Ball stormed to the ring as the fans chanted ‘bring back Tom’ … Tom hit the 1 … 2 … but UnaMannera managed to reach into the ring and break the 3 count!  The audience were in chorus of disapproving chants as Brad and Destello both got to their feet – Destello charged at Brad who managed to side step the Champ – and locked in a rear choke hold on the Champ!  As Destello screamed in pain and tried to get to the ropes, Matthews locked in the move even harder, forcing El Destello to tap out to Brad Matthews!!

The crowd went wild as Brad Matthews, who had ALL of the odds against him, was announced as New BWP World Catchweight Champion!!  Tom Ball raised the new Champions arm as The G-Man hit the ring and handed Brad his new title belt!

The celebrations were short lived however, as referee Phil Race ripped the belt off Brad Matthews and argued with Tom Ball.  Rudy Wynne entered the ring and announced, as Phil whispered into his ear, that Brad Matthews had won the belt using an illegal move, choke holds were not permitted in the BWP – also referee Tom Ball was not the official referee for the match and Brad Matthews had purposely attacked Phil Race – therefore Tom Balls decision was nil and void and Phil Race was disqualifying Brad Matthews!  Therefore still BWP World Catchweight Champion, El Destello!!!

The Abergele crowd were outraged – Brad and Tom remained in the ring arguing with referee Phil Race as The G-Man chased Destello, Rudy and UnaMannera to back stage.

Winner: El Destello (by DQ)

Match 6
LETHAL LOTTERY 12 MAN TAG MATCH

As all tag teams entered ringside for this historic match – Referee Tom Ball invited 12 fans from the crowd to select a number from the bag to determine which Superstars would team together in this 12 Man Elimination Tag Match.  The surviving members of the winning team would be entered into the Number 1 Contenders match for the BWP World Catchweight title next month at the BWP Rural Rumble show in Denbigh, North Wales.

The fans selected from random the following teams:

Team A
The G-Man
Lord Graham Thomas
Element
Demoni
Zack Diamond
Springbok

V

Team B
Phoenix
Jim ‘The Metal’ King
Marcus King
The Motivator
Jack Lightening
Night Stalker

All tag teams, with the exception of Storm and ShockWave, were split up for this match.  It was strange seeing the King Brothers (formerly tag team SuperNatural) on the same team and The G-Man and Lord Graham Thomas on the same team!  Something the BWP Nation would never have expected to see, and something the individual Superstars did not want to occur.

Jim King stood alone from his ‘team mates’ as they tried every dirty tactic in the book to get the win, as did Lord Graham Thomas, who refused to assist any of his team at any point.  When the tables were turned later on in the match and LGT needed to tag out of the match – the entire Team A stepped down from ringside leaving LGT to take even more of a beating.

The final 3 men in the ring were LGT and the unlikely duo of Jim and Marcus King … although the numbers were in favour of Team B … Marcus showed his true colours as he and his opponent for the match, LGT, battered Jim – however Jim got his revenge as he KO’d his own brother and partner and hit LGT with a ?????  forcing LGT to land on top of his W.A. member, and eliminating him from the match!

LGT and Jim King then battled for the winning spot, and to be the sole survivor of this amazing match.  It looked as if both men had the match won at different points, however LGT put up a great offence and defence throughout the ending of the match, but it was not enough to fend off King who was on fire – Jim managed to hit LGT with a rear sleeper, causing the Lord to tap out!!

Winner: Team B – Sole Survivor Jim ‘The Metal’ King

Saxons Sure Shot Screwjob

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

screwjob
At BWP Cruel Intentions last month, Steve Saxon, Founder of Britannia Wrestling Promotions, set a special kind of match that would see the winner be awarded with an official contract that would allow him the chance to cash in his Sure Shot against the BWP World Catchweight Champion anytime within a 12 month period of winning the contract.

Saxon had previously added The G-Man to the match as his selection of Superstar, and had allowed BWP General Manager, ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne , to choose G-Mans opponent.

Wynne had kept his choice of Superstar to himself up until seconds before the bell. After getting in the face of The G-Man, and the wild Wrexham crowd, Rudy announced the return of The Lethal Luchador, El Destello ! The look on G-Mans face clearly indicated that he wasn’t too pleased about Rudy’s choice of opponent, as Destello and G-Man have battled each other time and time again. Knowing the sick and twisted style of The Lethal Luchador, G-Man was thrown even further off his game, as Rudy announced that the match would be a No Holds Barred match!

rudy

This added last minute stipulation to the match had clearly been predetermined by The Word and El Destello, as Destello came to the ring clutching a steel chain and his ever-present Singapore Cane!

Although The G-Man did his utmost to ensure victory, not just for himself, but for BWP Founder Steve Saxon, El Destello eventually gained the victory by knock-out as rehttp://www.britanniawrestling.co.uk/blogs/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=411&message=1feree Tom Ball stopped the match after Destello locked G-Man in a full nelson, as his fellow Word Association member, Marcus King wrapped G-Mans legs in the ropes, and was ordered by The Word to then crack the singapore cane across the already unconcious G-Man!

El Destello was then presented the briefcase that held his Sure Shot contract by a smirking and overjoyed Rudy Wynne, and then all Word Association members, including Lord Graham Thomas who made his way quickly to the ring after the match had concluded, and attacked a battered G-Man further. The damage caused to G-Man could and would have been a lot worse if it hadn’t have been for BWP Champion Seb Winterz making the save and chasing of the W.A. members as he stood over his long time friend who was lay flat out on the canvas.

BWP Superstar Interviews – Seb Winterz

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Hello everybody and welcome to a new Superstar Interview! Since the last time, the original writer of this interview – “The Word” Rudy Wynne – has become the General Manager of the BWP. As a result, he does not have the time to do these interviews anymore. Instead, he has put it into the capable hands of myself – Ben Fordyce – to conduct the interviews. And what an interview this week. At the last show this man became the first ever BWP catchweight champion. Welcome to the superstar interview Seb Winterz!

Seb: Great to be here.

Ben: So, obviously this last few months in the BWP for you have been incredible, but for those of you who haven’t been there since the beginning and followed your career, what have you done and where have you came from? Talk about your history please.

Seb: Well Fordy, before I was signed up by The Sax Man I use to wrestle in a small promotion based in my local area. However after I was taught the basics by a local grappler by the name of Reinheart, I fast grew too big for that place and I was lucky enough to be signed to the BWP.

Ben: Yes, about your entry into the BWP. You originally joined up with Night Stalker , and formed a tag team called the Transiberian Express. Tell me, he is a bit of a reclusive Russian, how did that tag team form? And how did you go your separate ways?

Seb: Ha ha, The Night Stalker isn’t so reclusive once he’s had a few drinks. I was training in Russian, learning the art of Sambo wrestling. One night in a bar I noticed this sulky figure getting started on by some KGB rejects. I helped out and saved Night Stalker that night, the rest is history. Despite being dominant in the tag team devision I fast realised we didn’t have tag team chemistry. I carried the team and realised that I could get wins against 1 person, instead of wrestling a team of 2 by myself. It just worked out easier for me.

Ben: You made the transfer into the singles arena well, with a strong showing at a show in Stoke and at Rhuddlan, you won the Wrestlefest Rumble. You also obtained at this show something you hadn’t heard during your time in the BWP, fans cheering. Why did you think fans warmed to you, and why did you warm to the fans?

Seb: Well at the Unholy Union match at Rhuddlan, this was the first match when I wasnt alligned with Night Stalker. I faced the G-Man that night and I think I earnt alot of respect by going toe to toe with one of the top single wrestlers at the time. Although the win was stolen from me by El Destello , I won something more then that, I won me some fans. And their the loudest and greatest fans in the world.

Ben: That they certainly are. And they were in fine voice at the show last month, and you faced G-Man again, along with Lord Graham Thomas and Angelos in the four way eliminator for the BWP Catchweight Championship. In what is probably the finest moment in your career – you became the first ever BWP Catchweight Champion. Describe how it felt when you became champion.

Seb: Incredible, after being nearly beaten earlier that night by Derek Evans in a hard faught contest I didn’t think I would even stand a chance in the final. Derek Evans exposed a weakness in my armour and I knew someone as experienced as LGT would pick that apart even more. Some would call it luck and some would say that the best man won. All I know is that now I am the champ, I will not lose this belt without a fight.

Ben: Yes you most certainly won’t! But that has shown a great side to you, you are is a fighting champion, already saying that you’d like to face your good friends G-Man and Metal one on one with the belt on the line. Who else on the roster would you like to face?

Seb: I wouldn’t mind facing anyone on the roster, none of these guys would be on the roster if they werent good enough. But this warning goes to friend and foe alike, once that belt has rung I am a single minded competitor untill the end.

Ben: Finally, we will do One Word Answers! Tell me the first word that comes into your head for these members of the locker room, as well as the 3 final questions (you can use more than one word for this).

Ben: Gman.

Seb: Awesome.

Ben: Metal.

Seb: Brethren.

Ben: Brad Matthews .

Seb: Fighter.

Ben: Night Stalker.

Seb: Sinister.

Ben: Derek Evans.

Seb: Savage.

Ben: Angelos.

Seb: Traitor.

Ben: El Destello.

Seb: Evil.

Ben: Rudy Wynne.

Seb: Problematic.

Ben: Lord Graham Thomas.

Seb: Dasterdley.

Ben: Final 3 questions. In the BWP locker room, who is the one person you would like to face in a match that you haven’t yet?

Seb: El Destello.

Ben: Who is your least favourite member of the BWP locker room?

Seb: El Destello.

Ben: And who is the longest in the showers?

Seb: The G-Man.

Ben: Finally, anything you wish to say to your adoring fans?

Seb: Of course. keep being awesome and I will do my best to delight your senses.

Ben: Thanks for that Seb! Best of luck in your next championship defence!

Seb Winterz will be appearing at the BWP Shows in Silverdale & Crosby. Click here for show details.

BWP Unholy Union Results 30.05.09

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

rhuddlan-unholyunionBritannia Wrestling Promotions Unholy Union live from Rhuddlan, North Wales commenced in front of a packed-out crowd with the opening of the BWP Championship Chase KO Tournament, pitting 4 competitors in audience-decided qualifier rounds – the winners of both rounds would face off in a steel chain match later in the evenings main event.

The crowd selected Angelos to face off against Destello in the opening match of the night … Seb Winterz would later meat the G-Man, Simon Gaytley … Angelos & Destello beat chunks out of each other in a fast paced and spectacular match.  Destello’s experience allowed him to take control of the match and take down the young, hot headed rookie by utilising the use of his Singapore cane after deliberately taking out the referee … the dazed referee counted a slow count for Destello earning him a place in the steel chain match and final of the Championship Chase KO Tournament later in the show.

Next up saw in the return of Lord Graham Thomas aftermajor back surgery 3 months ago – LGT decided to bring along some support with him in the form of the mighty Corporal D .  His opponent … The Metal !  The other half of SuperNaturals was fired up to take down the Lord, although the odds were against him, the crowd certainly was not as they roared in support of the 18 year old kid.

LGT seemed somewhat reluctant to enter the ring as the audience rallied behind Metal … pacing on the outside of the ring with his bodyguard.  Eventually LGT returned to the ring, and took control of the young Metal from the start, the Lords typical tricks and taunts slowly begin to show in the kid, with the assistance of Cpl D, Lord Graham Thomas was able to sustain power and control throughout the majority of the match … until Metal managed to salvage enough energy, guts and skill to pull off a monster suicide dive taking out both LGT and Cpl D!

Metal managed to get on top of the Lord until his support became physically involved again … this was still not enough to keep the kid down, as he battled back against both men and finally took out the Lord by pinfall!  Lord Graham Thomas was absolutely furious, his return match in over 3 months was skittled by the young fan favourite, The Metal!

Next up was the second qualifier for the BWP Championship Chase, pitting The G-Man, Simon Gaytley against the exlosive Seb Winterz.  From the off-set the BWP Nation were clearly showing their support for the G-Man, this peculiar and eccentric grappler put up a strong fight against Winterz, managing to put the big man down long enough to stick his butt in Seb’s face, incidentally changing the usually stone cold expression of Winterz into that of a disgust, nausea and desperation!

Winterz soon found his feet again, as he hit move after move on the pink loving Gaytley, who refused to stay down, so came more hard hitting Winterz specials … still the G-Man refused to be ended, until Winterz hit his patented ‘Onepiece’ finisher move … although Seb was not yet finished, as he began to climb the ropes for the brutal top-rope elbow smash, the move that collapsed the ring at the BWP Eliminator event in Stoke on Trent back in April this year … but then, from nowhere, Destello returned to the ring and began to attack the dazed and battered Gaytley, attacking the downed Superstar with shot after shot of the lethal cane … Winterz took exception to Destello’s interference as the referee declared the winner of the match, by disqualification, to G-Man!  Winterz demanded answers from Destello as he pulled him back from the heavily wounded Gaytley, but the Lethal Luchador was not in the talking mood as he repeatedly commenced in assaulting the G-Man across the ribs … referee Tom Richards was eventually able to get Destello out of the ring, as G-Man was assisted back stage for urgent medical assistance.
After the short break, we return to the show as the crowd are excited and buzzing for more Britannia Wrestling!  The fourth match of the evening see’s the return of another BWP Superstar, after a lengthy 3 years away from the squared-circle, Blue Ice made his return to face off against local hometown hero, the MMA Kid, ‘The Knock-Out’ Brad Matthews .  Blue Ice taunted the audience members with a verbal assault before locking up, the audience rallying behind Matthews was too much for Blue, and he gave up the microphone and locked up for the first time in 3 years.

Matthews took control of Blue Ice from the offset, taking the trainee of Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts down on his back several times, until Ice was able to take down the local boy with a vicious flying fist to the face.  Ice was onto Brad immediately, hitting him with a tirade of spiteful moves, trying to not only beat Matthews, but to humiliate him in front of his own people.  But Matthews’ will was strong, as he out smarted Blue Ice and managed to hit his ‘Knock-Out’ finisher from nowhere and hitting the spring legdrop, but the experience of Blue Ice again surfaced as he was able to narrowly get his foot on the bottom rope to break what seemed to be the victory for Brad Matthews.  Blue Ice managed to scrape to his feet and position Matthews for his ‘Ice Breaker’ finish, along with a grip of Matthews shorts, Blue Ice picked up with victory – leaving the town of Rhuddlan enraged!

The main event of the evening … a steel chain match … the final of the BWP Championship Chase KO Tournament to crown the first entrant into the Championship Showdown where the new BWP World Catchweight Champion will be crowned.  The winners of the earlier qualifier rounds will face off in this extremely dangerous and brutal match.  Destello confidentally enters the ring and watches and mocks as Simon Gaytley struggles to the ring, with a look of revenge and anger in his eyes … G-Man, clearly expressing severe pain and injury in his left rib area, as they had been heavily taped by the EMT’s after the vicious and malicious attack at the hands of Destello earlier in the evening.

Both men are strapped together to an 8ft long, solid steel chain … as the bell rings, both men immediately enter into a tug of war battle, with G-Man reeling Destello in until Destello opened the match wide open with a stiff kick to the G-Mans jewels.  Destello took no hesitation in using the steel chain to beat down the battered Gaytley – wrapping the chain around his fists trying to knock out his opponant as well as trying to finish off the job of breaking the remainder of his ribs!  Both Superstars fought back and forth, in and out of the ring, with the fans strongly behind G-Man, he picked up the momentum and gave Destello and unexpected and much deserved receipt for pain and punishment that he had received throughout the night!

G-Man looked to have the match almost done, until Destello managed to get hold of his Singapore cane once again, and was about to swing it into the G-Mans skull as out of the back stormed Seb Winterz, leaping up to the ring and managing to grab the cane from the hands of the Lethal Luchador just in time.  Destello momentarily distracted by Sebs interference allowed the now semi-unconscious G-Man to roll him up into a STF, wrapping the chain around Destello’s throat three times and pulling back hard – choking the Mexican into tapping out … the winner of this match – and the first entrant into the BWP Championship Showdown … by Submission … The G-Man, Simon Gaytley!

Now, time for the final event of the night – the 2nd Chance WrestleFest – an opportunity for the entire BWP roster in attendance to participate in an elimination style match – 2 men start off, every 90 seconds a new wrestler enters the ring, elimination is by pinfall or submission only, falls count anywhere … last man standing is declared the 2nd entrant into the BWP Championship Showdown along with the already qualified G-Man!

First 2 men starting the WrestleFest is  Lord Graham Thomas and Brad Matthews, both men losing their earlier matches and both men desperately looking to secure their place in the Championship Showdown.  Although Brad took control of LGT, the 3rd entrant was the Lords bodyguard, Cpl D.  LGT and Cpl D beat the Matthews down hard with an arsenal of big double team moves.  Matthews was somewhat saved when entrant 4 entered – The Metal – Metal immediately got in the faces of the Blue Blood and his bodyguard … the fans going cray for both Metal and Matthews as they took down the LGT and his goon.

Next in was Seb Winterz, looking to claim what he believes he was robbed of earlier in the show as a result of Destello costing him his match with G-Man … 6th wrestler in the ring is Angelos, still hot over his loss to Destello earlier in the night, he takes out Seb Winterz with an impressive cross body from the top rope, getting a near 3 count on the big man.  Action began still to the outside as well as in the ring, wrestlers battling with each other trying to eliminate whoever they could … the slightly twisted Angelos saw a moment and took it, as he hit a severe and extreme suicide dive from the top rope to the outside taking out LGT, Cpl D and even his own brother, The Metal!  The fans went wild to see the high risk move from Angelos.

Destello and Seb then came face to face in the centre of the ring … immediately a 2 way punch fest opened up as both men, equally annoyed about their earlier losses to the G-Man due each of their interferences in each others matches … this was broken up by the next entrant, Blue Ice … who rid of Seb, and then turned on Destello.

Night Stalker was next in … but not for long, as he walked straight into a waiting Blue Ice who instantly locked on the Ice Breaker onto Stalker for the 3 count … as Blue stood to showcase his excellence to the unappreciative crowd, he was locked into a triangle choke by the MMA fighter Brad Matthews – this was more than enough to get the big headed Blue Ice to tap out!

LGT and Cpl D were concentrating on the SuperNaturals brothers, Angelos & Metal … the Bluebloods planted Metal on top of Angelos after their double beatdown, allowing the ref to count to 3 and declare that Metal eliminated his own big-brother Angelos!  As Metal came round, he appeared to have no idea what had occurred, however Angelos seemed to take exception to him being eliminated from his opportunity and chance to become the BWP World Catchweight Champion, as he shove his younger brother out of the way as he exited the ring.

LGT then surprisingly and strangely turns on his own bodyguard – rolling him up for a quick pin and eliminating him from the competition.  As LGT argues with his protege to the outside of the ring, Metal went after the culprit of his brothers dismissal from the WrestleFestand hit his ‘HeavyMetal’ finisher on the Lord and gets the 123 … LGT is pinned by the kid twice in one night and is mildly separated from Cpl D as the bodyguard vented his frustration on the eliminated Night Stalker.

Winterz then quickly takes out Metal with a spike DDT as Destello simultaneously hits a swanton bomb on Brad Matthews, eliminating the home town hero from the WrestleFest – Destello’s winning streak is soon blitzed by the ready-waiting and very angry Seb Winterz as he locks on the ‘Onepeice’ and smashes Destello to the canvas to pick up the final 1-2-3 of the evening, and claiming his place in the BWP Championship Showdown along with the G-Man, Simon Gaytley!

As Seb leaves the ring, to the approval and support of the attending BWP Nation, Destello finally comes round and begins to physically and verbally provoke referee Tom Richards … Blue Ice, cleary still bothered by his elimination from the WrestleFest, returns to ringside and together with Destello they savagely gang up on the defenseless referee … as the crowd show their disapproval of the actions of the 2 BWP Superstars, the assault gets worse for Richards, until he was saved by Brad Matthews and the SuperNaturals as they stormed the ring and chased of the sore losers, Destello and Blue Ice.

Tommy Gunn Wins BWP Eliminator Tournament

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

tommy-gunn-winner

Last night, Silverdale Stoke on Trent witnessed a hard hitting and extreme evening of professional wrestling, as eight of the BWP’s toughest Superstars competed in the BWP Eliminator Tournament … but only one man stood tall and victorious at the end of the evening, having taken out four of the eight competitors, ‘Rapid Fire’  Tommy Gunn defied the odds and was crowned the first number one contender for the new BWP Championship Title.

With the crowd strongly backing Gunn throughout the night, as he finished off the ‘Brummie Bad Ass’ Jay Icon with a massive springboard splash … but not before being bust wide open by Icon, but this was still not enough to put Gunn away as he proceeded to the final of Eliminator against other Round 1 winners, The Red Dragon, Seb Winterz and El Destello .

As The Red Dragon walked away from the match and assisted commentator Jason Sinclair as Tommy Gunn managed to fend off the onslaught of El Destello & Seb Winterz and hit them both with a double SY5 finisher, eliminating both the Mexican & Russian!  As Gunn watched the 2 International Superstars fighting with referee Rudy Wynne , The Red Dragon seized his chance and returned to the match, along with Gunn’s earlier opponent Jay Icon.

Both men beat down the already tired and wounded Tommy Gunn, setting him up for a knock-out shot with a kendo stick, until Gunn was both smart and quick enough to dodge the attack, as The Red Dragon smashed Icon over the head with the kendo stick …. as Dragon was distracted by his own actions, Metal came to the aid of Tommy Gunn as he took out The Red Dragon with the same kendo stick, giving enough time for Tommy Gunn to regain his momentum and  get the 123 on the Dragon to be crowned the BWP Eliminator Tournament winner.

Gunn was badly injured and received medical attention at North Staffordshire Hospital as he received several stitches to his right eye, as well a treatment for a gash to his right arm.  He has stated that he will be 100% fit and well to take on the next contender for the BWP Championship, whoever that may be.
