BWP General Manager, Mr Sean Aston, announced in January that he has created a new Britannia Wrestling Promotions landmark super show named BWP Champions Ball … this show would feature ALL of the 3 BWP Championship titles defended on the same night, as well as other Championship-based matches!
It has all been kept very hush-hush from the Aston office, until now thanks to the BWP Encore! team, Angel D’Souza & DJ King, who announced all of the matches (well, almost all!) on their 2nd episode of the Youtube show. Mr Sean Aston has set the following matches to take place at BWP Champions Ball:
PWI:BWP WORLD CATCHWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
‘The Toxic Terror’ Cyanide Vs ’100% Welsh Beef’ Dylan Roberts
This will not be the first time Roberts & Cyanide will have met on BWP soil. Back in January the General Manager granted Dylan a title shot against the Champion in Roberts’ hometown of Penyffordd, North Wales – the match went to a DQ in Dylans favour as a result of a sly and viscous attack at the hands of The Babyface Pitbull.
Last month at BWP El Bandito Memorial Tournament, Dylan Roberts went on to challenge & beat Zack Gibson, CJ Banks and finally The Babyface Pitbull to guarantee him a No1 Contenders Match against Cyanide at BWP Champions Ball.
TRIPLE THREAT MONEY IN THE BANK STEEL CAGE MATCH
‘The Juice’ CJ Banks Vs ‘Liverpools No1′ Zack Gibson Vs The Babyface Pitbull
The GM has pulled another ace card from his deck by introducing for the first time ever, a triple threat Money In The Bank steel cage match between three of the biggest and respected British Wrestling Superstars! The only way to win this match and get your hands on a contract guaranteeing the victor a shot at any BWP Championship at any time within the next 12 months, is to escape that 15ft high solid steel cage as quickly as possible, by any means necessary.
None of these three Superstars are strangers to each other – all three of them have travelled across the UK, crossing paths at many promotions including here at BWP in the past – but all of that will seem insignificant once the cage door is locked and CJ Banks, Zack Gibson & The Babyface Pitbull are left alone to see who really is the best!
BWP TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP FATAL 4 WAY ELIMINATION MATCH
Knights of the Squared Circle Vs The Hunter Brothers Vs The Blackpool Blonds Vs BBS & Ryan Smile
The BWP Tag Team Championships have been vacant since August 2012 when CJ Banks & The Babyface Pitbull vacated them in order to be granted a Steel Chain Match against each other in Denbigh in September 2012. A Tag Team Tournament was initiated to crown new Champions but when Mr Sean Aston took over the reigns of BWP shows in November 2012, he simply scrapped the tournament in favour of this Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match between Hunter Bros, Blackpool Blonds, Knights of the Squared Circle and the Midlands’ very own British Born Steele & Ryan Smile!
The rules of this match are simple(ish) – only 2 legal men allowed in the ring at any time from any team – legal men can tag ANY Superstar on the apron from ANY team at ANY time! Meaning, for example, that should Lord Graham Thomas be in the ring with Ryan Smile, and Smile tags in Sir Dean MacManus – then tag partners MacManus and Thomas would have no choice but to go at it in the ring! As soon as 1 man from a team is pinned or taps out, both members of the team are eliminated from the match and must return to the locker rooms. The final team standing will be crowned the NEW BWP Tag Team Champions!
BWP ROOKIE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Marc Morgan Vs Mystery International Opponent
For some reason completely unknown to us here at BWP Admin, Mr Sean Aston has not yet announced who the Rookie Division Champion, Marc Morgan, will be facing at BWP Champions Ball. It is apparent however that the General Manager knows exactly who the challenger will be as he has specified that they will be ‘international’ … but who? And why the secrecy?
Marc Morgan will no doubt be furious over this decision from the GM. Morgan will have no, or little, time to prepare for his match against the Mystery Opponent, he will be heading into one of the biggest matches of his short career as good as blind.
As soon as we have any more information on who the Mystery Opponent could be, we will keep you posted!
BRITANNIA WRESTLING ACADEMY BATTLE ROYALE
All BWP Trainee’s
The GM is extending his ‘good nature’ to the talented hopefuls of the Britannia Wrestling Academy in the form of a Battle Royale. The winner of the over-the-top-rope challenge will go on to sign an official BWP Rookie Division contract which will see him/her advance up the Britannia Wrestling Promotions ladder and get their first taste of live BWP action!
As you can see, this show is looking to be one of the biggest shows in Britannia Wrestling Promotions history! All three Championships will be on the line, we will see the debut of an International Superstar, welcome a new body into the BWP Rookie Division and witness the first ever 15ft solid steel cage match between 3 of the best in Britain!
