Why The BWP is ‘Brandist’ – by DJ King

1

Britannia Wrestling Promotions is home to some of the best wrestlers in the UK today. Superstars like The Babyface Pitbull, “The Juice” CJ Banks, Shaun “The Hammer” Davis and Zack “Diamond” Gibson excite and entertain the legions of BWP fans every month doing what they do best.  But in November of 2010 something changed in the BWP, something that shook Steve Saxon and his staff to their very core.  Through the creative genius of myself and “The Lethal” Destello and the financial backing of Rudy Wynne, the collective known as The Brand was born.  February 2011 was a beautiful time for us as we had possession of the PWI:BWP World Catchweight Championship and control of the BWP through the GM Sebastian D.Winterz but it all fell apart.  Destello showed his weakness and vacated the title, Sebastian D.Winterz let personal problems cost us control of the BWP.  In a matter of months we had gone from being the strongest force in British Wrestling to nothing more than a joke.

Now who is to blame for this I hear you ask?  The same people who are trying to hold us back now, the same people who keep us off the BWP posters week in and week out.  Steve Saxon and the BWP board of directors.  Saxon knows how powerful we are but how many Catchweight title shots have we received?  Yes, we currently have possession of the BWP Tag Team titles and the BWP Rookie Division title, but we did that by doing what we do best and that’s demolishing everyone in our way.  Our very own Dean “D Mac” MacManus is a former BWP Champion and has still yet to receive a rematch.  Why is this I hear you ask again dear reader?  Because the BWP knows if we get that belt back then we will be in complete control of the BWP once again and that scares the hell out of Mr Saxon.  He is holding us back in favour of his ‘chosen few’ like Jim King (who totally stole my name) and The Red Dragon (didn’t he used to be a Saint?).  Speaking of the ‘chosen few’ how can I forget Jacob Israel?  That kosher midget has had everything handed to him and what has he done with it?  Nothing.  He is a loser and a joke just like the rest of Steve Saxons followers and soon enough they will learn the same thing myself and the rest of The Brand learnt a long time ago, Team BWP is the wrong team to be on.

I’ll finish off by leaving you with a few message’s.  To Steve Saxon and the rest of BWP Management.  Stop trying to fight us.  We are the strongest force to ever come through the BWP and you would do well to learn to work with us then to continue to fight against us.  As long as you continue to be ‘Brandist’ (copyright The Brand 2011) we shall continue to destroy every so called superstar you put in our path.  It may not be fair, it may not be pretty but it will bring an end to unjust vendetta you have against us.  Now to all BWP Superstars who are not affiliated with The Brand.  Our doors are always open.  If you feel you are being mistreated or misused by BWP management then why not talk to one of us and we’ll see if we can find a place for you in our happy little family.  But know this, if you want to become a member of our illustrious group and if we can find a use for you then you need to know a couple of things:

Number One: When/if you’re in The Brand, you’re in for life (or until we no longer have a use for you)

Number Two: Failure is NOT an option

I am DJ King and you have just been educated.

Stacey Rose – Gold Magnet

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

In any sport, the Champions set the standard for the sport and/or promotion.  Champions always steal the spotlight because of their worldwide status as being up there with the worlds elite sportsmen and women.  Britannia Wrestling Promotions are no different to every other sporting business out there, our Champions reflect our product – they have earned their stripes, mostly, and now have the right to declare themselves as part of the worlds best.

If we take a closer look at the current BWP Gold Standard – our PWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion CJ Banks has been heckled and slandered by the BWP fans & followers since winning the title from El Generico earlier this month under most controversial, yet completely legal circumstances, as the top dog of BWP at present, CJ Banks is in that spot because he showed great skill, talent and integrity to earn the chance to be Champion – he took advantage of a vulnerable situation – regardless of how you feel about CJ Banks as a person, he made a smart move.

However away from CJ Banks we have the BWP Rookie Division Champion Craig ‘Danzig Winters and the BWP Tag Team Champions DJ King & Cyanide … all 3 men have two things in common … they are all members of The Brand … and they are all always escorted to the ring by Stacey Rose.

Without a doubt, The Brand are dominating and bar-setting faction within Britannia Wrestling Promotions – but the Superstars holding the titles are not necessarily the sole reason for their recent successes.  There is one person, at least, that stands in the background mostly, occassionally more visibly and physically involved than they perhaps should be, non-the-less, they are there … and without them there with The Brand, maybe there would be no Brand!

Stacey Rose … long term valet to The Brand as well as with other British Wrestling Superstars, Stacey Rose always leaves a mark on any promotion she steps in to.  In the BWP Stacey Rose immediately joined the ranks of The Brand, mainly due to her friendship with current BWP Tag Team Champion DJ King, but has proved her worth since her arrival by continuing her own personal resume of championships!

Stacey Rose celebrates with The Brands DJ King & Cyanide – NEW BWP Tag Team Champions

Since Stacey Rose joined The Brand she has valeted former 2xPWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion El Destello before his back injury forced him into early retirement earlier in 2011 rendering the Catchweight Championship vacant, a decision that Miss Rose was clearly unhappy with.  Also within The Brand Stacey Rose played an integral role in Craig Winters’ BWP Rookie Division Championship win against Jacob Israel in the notorious Prestatyn Death Match, taking the brunt of an alarming steel chair shot to the head that was intended for Winters.  Stacey also assisted The Brands DJ King & Cyanide to finally capture the BWP Tag Team Championships from Classic Combo at Denbigh Town Hall Brawl III last month, again never afraid to get physically involved with any wrestler, Miss Rose played a constant distraction to ‘Classic’ Ciaran McConnell and Corey E – enough so that they walked away from the Welsh town with nothing more than their kit bags, where as DJ King, Cyanide and Stacey Rose celebrated in style as the new Tag Team Champions.

2Stacey Rose taking an unexpected and unintentional chair shot to the head from fellow Brand member ‘Danzig’

Outside of Britannia Wrestling Promotions Stacey also valets for Superstars at sister company Runcorn Wrestling Academy.  Miss Rose currently managed the RWA Heavyweight Champion as well as being a big reason behind the RWA Tag Team Championship title wins of the A-List (AC Kage & Adrain Myers) … one of the most successful and recognised tag teams in RWA history!

A rose between 2 thorns …. RWA Tag Team Champions The A-List

It seems that no matter which wrestling promotion that Miss Stacey Rose decides to bless with her presence, she is the go-to diva if you want to seriously seek wrestling gold and media recognition.  If you are reading this and you wrestle for Britannia Wrestling Promotions, then you may seriously need to re-look at The Brand – who they are – what they do – why they do it  …  because Miss Rose certainly seems to have settled her roots within The Brand … so now, in the BWP at least, it seems that if you want, or need, Stacey Rose’s services … you may need to go through The Brand to get them!

Corey E Out of Action

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Former BWP Tag Team Champion Corey E underwent major surgery just 2 days ago following a training accident that resulted in Corey’s ankle being broken … Doctors have stated that Corey will be out of action from Britannia Wrestling Promotions for a minimum of 6 months.

This is obviously a massive blow to the young Superstar who only recently lost the BWP Tag  Team Championships with tag team partner ‘Classic’ Ciaran McConnell against The Brand at Denbigh Town Hall Brawl III on 24 September … no doubt The Classic Combo were looking for retribution against The Brand and looking to regain the Tag Team titles that many, say they were cheated out of, but those aspirations and prospects seemingly now will be shelved due to the unfortunate injury of Corey E.

BWP Admin caught up with Corey following his operation, although very uncomfortable Corey still wanted to let his fans know exactly what was happening:

‘I was quite nervous going into the operation on monday, I was told that I’d be getting a metal plate and some screws in my ankle.  I was told afterwards that I won’t be able to partake in any physical activity for 6 months minimum which wasn’t pleasant to hear.  Obviously, my main thought was that I wouldn’t be able to competitively step into a wrestling ring for at least 6 months.

I’ve got to get a new cast on next week and then keep that cast on for around 8 weeks and then I start my physiotherapy to help me to walk properly again without the use of crutches.  At the moment I’m struggling to do anything and I’ve been bed bound for the past few days since the incident.

I’m trying to stay positive and think of the light at the end of the tunnel, maybe it won’t seem as long as it is… :)

The entire BWP Management, Admin, Crew and Superstars would like to wish Corey a speedy and safe recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action at Britannia Wrestling Promotions again soon!

Please feel free to leave your comments for Corey on this page, all WILL be passed onto the man himself.

New BWP Champion Speaks Out

Friday, October 14th, 2011

header

Exactly one week ago Britannia Wrestling Promotions held one of our biggest shows since opening our doors 3 years ago as we welcome the Internationally renowned Ring of Honor Superstar, El Generico into our ring to face our longtime PWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion The Babyface Pitbull in a match that has already been dubbed as 2011’s potential Match of the Year.  El Generico sensationally managed to end the Pitbulls impressive 6 month reign as top dog following a sickening BRAINBUSTAAAAAA – but Generico’s reign and celebrations were short lived as the ‘Sure Shot Contract’ winner ‘The Juice’ CJ Banks cashed in his shot against the Generic Luchador after blindsiding him with the SSC briefcase, literally smashing the case across the skull of the freshly crowned Champ!  CJ Banks made light and quick work of El Generico – finishing him off with 2 consequtive running knee strikes to get the 3 count and the achievement of becoming the new, NEW PWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion!

BWP Admin was able to catch up with the new Champion this week, ‘The Juice’ had this to say:

‘Last week I proved to everyone at Britannia Wrestling Promotions exactly why I am what I say I am, the Pound for Pound best, by defeating 3 men in 1 night to become your new PWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion.  Now, I’ve heard people whining and complaining that I “took advantage” of El Generico.  Well, being the Pound for Pound best isn’t just about having superhuman skills, it’s also about taking opportunities, and last week, much like when Floyd Mayweather knocked out Victor Ortiz, I took out Generico when his guard was down, and when he least expected it.

You’d expect a guy who’s traveled the world to know to keep his guard up 24/7 – haha!’

‘The Pound for Pound Best’ CJ Banks will no doubt anxiously be watching BWP Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday 29 October to see who will be the new No1 Contender following the Main Event Rumble, one thing is for sure, although El Generico won’t be participating in this Main Event Rumble, he will have his sights set on CJ Banks when he returns to Britannia Wrestling Promotions in Spring 2012 – but CJ Banks should seriously keep his eyes peeled for the Babyface Pitbull who will no doubt be looking to get his Championship title back by any means necessary!

Regal Rantings: El Generico, Babyface Pitbull, Ring Girls and Kebabs

Ok well shall I begin following a recent spat of boredom Steve Saxon advised me to write a Blog about Britannia Wrestling Promotions. So I will be putting just randomness in this, from “Kayfabe” to just general bits about me.

Well last Friday was Britannia Wrestling Promotions’ big show featuring El Generico, and before I comment on anything about that night a HUGE congrats to everyone on the show and to the promoter for putting on a fantastic show.

Well my match had me against a one time friend and now my 3 time victor, Shaun “The Hammer” Davis, who I can confirm is a monster! From what I have seen of him in the last year it is only a matter of time before he is one of the best big men in the country, easy! We had a another, well in my opinion “average” match and I feel that I could have put more effort in as of late within Britannia Wrestling Promotions/any promotion. I think that I haven’t been pulling out the matches I know, and feel, that I should be having.

Well, needless to say I lost again via a spear.

However the opening segment of the match had some involvement with the Ring Girl, Sian Davies, and I want to publicity apologise for the hand on my heart accident, this is me Tom Russon not ‘Lord Graham Thomas’ saying sorry.

Ok, show was great, every match seemed to work and a big well done to the Babyface Pitbull in his match, I know we haven’t seen eye to eye and I was worried that the match could not be a great one – but I was proved wrong, he seems to have found his niche and sticking to it – and good for him, and all the best Pitbull, as I’m coming for you soon enough.

Generico, well was Generico! I’d seen him on TV/DVD’s in the past and live once before back in 2008 but I was impressed with his general openness to anyone speaking to him and we had a great conversation on the way to dropping him off at the airport. Also on a side note the man is a player, don’t let the mask fool you, if at a gig or a kebab shop in Rhyl, the man can turn it on. Plus here is proof of him in there. Nice gentlemen who I hope I get to meet down the line again.

egEl Generico at a kebab house in Rhyl, North Wales ??

Now onto my future in Britannia Wrestling Promotions, where do I go from being a former 2x World Catchweight Champion (who has never had his wrestling rematch clause might I add), “Wrestler of the Year 2010” and being suspended for drunken rambles – to present, who has been to only 5 shows this year and won and grand total of ZERO. So I have been thinking and I think it might be time to claim some Tag Team gold and hopefully 2012 could be the year, so watch this space my friends.

For now, rant over, I will write another one soon as I quite liked this if I’m honest.

Yours Sincerely

LGT III

Moments after the match as the Babyface Pitbull returned to the dressing rooms, ‘The Juice’ CJ Banks hit the ring and smashed the Saxons Sure Shot briefcase over the skull of El Generico – immediately cashing in his guaranteed title match with Senior BWP Referee Des Robinson – however CJ’s hopes of  quick win were squashed as the Generic Luchador fought back to the sounds and roars of the fans.  Quick, hard and exhausting back and forth action until CJ Banks delivered a double dose of his lethal trademark running knee strike, securing the upset win over the now former Champion.

The fans and ringside Officials looked on in disbelief, and an element of disgust as ‘The Juice’ CJ Banks walked away from the BWP Ffrith Beach Arena with as the new, NEW PWI:BWP World Catchweight Champion!

As Officials checked over a stunned Generico, the fans showed their support for the visiting Trans-Atlantic Superstar who left the Arena to a standing round of applause.

Destello

The first time that Britannia Wrestling Promotions visited the popular North Wales tourist town of Prestatyn … Sunday 30th May 2010 … the Main Event of the evening would be for the biggest prize in the BWP – the World Catchweight Championship … defended by Jim ‘The Metal’ King, his first defense – his first defense would be against the very same man that he beat just a month earlier in Liverpool to become the Champ … Destello.

Destello, managed by the gold magnet that is ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne, was bitter to say the least.  Losing the Championship meant losing the top spot in BWP that he, and Wynne both felt they deserved as their rightful place.
