Britney Spears on of the last people to speak with Umaga

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Britney Spears was one of the last people to spend time with Edward “Umaga” Fatu before he died just one week later.

The pop singer bumped into “The Samoan Bulldozer” when they shared a flight from Australia to the United States.

Spears remembered Umaga from a wrestling storyline he took part in with her ex-husband Kevin Federline on Monday Night Raw three years ago.

She was returning from a series of concerts Down Under, where the grappler had also been in action as part of Hulk Hogan’s Hulkamania – Let the Battle Begin wrestling tour.

His last bout took place on Saturday, November 28 against the former Mr. Kennedy in Sydney.

Jim Ross extends WWE contract

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has announced on his JRsBarBQ.com that he’s signed a short-term contract extension with WWE.

Ross stated, “My contract status with WWE has changed somewhat,” Ross wrote in a Friday blog. “We have agreed to terms on a contract extension for a few months to allow me to completely heal from Bells palsy number 3.

“I don’t expect to go back on the road until, at the earliest, March but that is an approximate time frame. The story making the rounds that I’m targeting WM26 to return to the airwaves makes for a good story but it is not accurate as I am hoping that I heal quicker and can get back in the game in some form sooner than March 28. That particular issue isn’t up to me.”

Scott Hall rumoured to be heading to TNA

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Scott Hall’s name continues to come up due to past association with Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash. Hall, who is now fifty-one years old, has been working more frequently on the independent circuit on shows with Sid Vicious, who has also been rumoured to be making his TV return.

Although recent reports regarding his condition at the indy shows have been positive, there are still some bad feelings over a pay-per-view no-show two years ago. It’s no secret that Nash has Dixie Carter’s ear, but he has been telling people he’s not aware of any plans for Hall to return to the organization.

BWP Award Winner: Lord Graham Thomas

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

LGT
Hells Belles (HB) says
: Okay so I’m here with Lord Graham Thomas or should I say Lady Grace Thomas as it is under that name that you won the award for best Diva of the year.

So starting with question one

Q1       How do you feel about winning your award(s)?

Lord Graham Thomas (LGT) says: I am feeling like the BWP are making me into some kind of joke and you can call me your Lordship underling.

HB says: Well that is a shame as the fans obviously thought you deserved this award.

Talking of fans, your Lordship

Q2       Why do you think the fans voted for you?

LGT says: As they think it is funny to mock me and treat me like a fool just because I have everything they have ever wanted. They are threatened by me.

HB says: An interesting point of view and one that fits your personality. As you seem to have no regard for the fans what about your colleagues.

Q3       If you had been presenting this award, who would you have given it to and why?

LGT says
: Which award? There were lots, either ask me in specific questions or I will leave this interview right now. If you are referring to Diva then none of them women deserve it, they should be at home and having children not be in a wrestling ring.

HB says: Well I was going to apologise for not being specific enough for you to be able to understand my question but in light of your answer I will not.

Yes I was referring to the Diva award and I am sure the other nominees will be more than interested in your reply.

LGT says: Well I have given my answer so continue.

HB says: Fine – the last question is more of a fun question if you understand the term.

Q4       If you could have won any award, real or imaginary, what award would you have liked to win?

LGT says: I know I should have won Wrestler of the year but I just deserve an award for coming into the BWP and showing them what a true English Gent is.

HB says
: Well an award for Best English Gent isn’t too farfetched but of course you have to act like a gentleman to be worthy of it.

LGT says: I am what are you implying?

HB says: Nothing of course Lady Grace and thank-you for answering the questions so succinctly

LGT says: Whatever, time is money so please get on with it and stop the Lady Grace comments.

HB says: Of course and that is the end of the interview.

LGT says: Good.

BWP Award Winner: The G Man

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

GMAN
Hells Belles (HB) says
: I’m here with the spectacular G-Man who scooped 3 of the fan voted awards, Sexy in Spandex, Best Match with El Destello and Best Entrance.

So G-Man if I can start with perhaps an obvious question

Q1       How do you feel about winning your awards?

G-Man (GM) says: Firstly I would just like to say it’s a pleasure being interviewed by you, but you missed out the Perkiest Peaches awarded to me by the BWP nation!

It feels good to have won so many awards voted for by the nation, I feel very humbled but also honoured to know that so many people appreciate what I do!

HB says: Thank-you G-Man and it is an amazing achievement and of course how could I forget the Perkiest Peaches, most apt if I do say so myself.

Thinking of the fans brings me nicely to the second question of this short interview.

Q2       Why do you think the fans voted for you?

GM says: Hmmm well as for the Perkiest Peaches and Sexy in Spandex….only the nation can tell you that…but for the other two I will say this, I consider myself a performer 1st and a wrestler a close 2nd. I put everything I have into entertaining the people who have taken the time to support us (the BWP) and it feels that they have chosen to acknowledge my effort but I also (grudgingly) have to ….acknowledge that I didn’t win the best match award by myself!..

El Destello was trained by the same man as me, so I know that above all else, he has it drummed into him to give the best performance he possibly can, so El Destello Vs G-MAN = win win every time!
HB says: That is a very fair response G-Man and I doubt that El Destello will be as charitable to you and your input into the Match of the year award.  The fans obviously like what they see to vote for you so many times as proven by the number of awards you have won this year but thinking of your colleagues

Q3       If you had been presenting this award, who would you have given it to and why? (in your case for all your awards)

GM says: hmmmm, a toughy!

Okay well Sexy in spandex, between you and me, I honestly thought Frankie Sloan had that one in the bag!…
HB says: Haha
GM says: Best entrance, well that would have gone to Sebby…

Best match would have to have been Sebby winning the belt in the four way at Wrexham…

and Perkiest Peaches, well that was a surprise, so I’ll keep that one for myself!

HB says: I can see why you would choose Sebastian Winterz’s entrance and the championship match at Wrexham. They were excellent. As for Perkiest Peaches, it could only have been you really, haha. And whilst having a laugh, the last question is for fun really

Q4       If you could have won any award, real or imaginary, what award would you have liked to win?

GM says: hmmmmmmm, this one is hard for me, as I try to avoid self promotion (unlike some I could mention) but if I COULD win any award…it would be an acknowledgement for never backing down…from any challenge! That is what is important to me!

HB says: A very worthy trait G-Man and one that many fans will be able to identify with.

Well thank-you for answering my questions and I hope you are as successful in 2010 as you have been this year

GM says: Me too

BWP Award Winner: El Destello

ELDESTELLO

Hells Belles (HB) says: I’m here with BWP World Catchweight Champion, El Destello and have a few short questions regarding the awards he won last Saturday at the BWP Awards Bash.

So you won villain of the year and match of the year for your match with G-Man

Q1       How do you feel about winning your awards?

El Destello (ED) says
: I deserve both. The BWP fans vote for me as Villain of the year because they hate that I beat their favourite G Man, and I beat their champion Seb Winterz – just like G Man and Winterz, the fans are jealous of El Destello – they hate me because they want to be half the man El Destello is … and they will never be just a fraction of who I am and the Match of the year – the fans chose just one of the many matches that El Destello has been in – lucky for G-Man, they pick a match that he was lucky to be in, lucky for his credit, unlucky for his reputation as biggest loser as G-Man, just like the fans, is not as good as El Destello.  G-Man should thank me 100 times for winning him a trophy

HB says: Well that is an interesting slant on the match of the year award and one I would expect from you. You have partially touched on my second question but perhaps you can elaborate

Q2       Why do you think the fans voted for you?

ED says
: Because I am worth voting for.  The only reason Seb Winterz got the wrestler of the year award was because the fans pity his loss to me at Cruel Intentions show.  The fans are stupid, they hate me, but at the same time present me with an award.  This proves to El Destello what the British people are like – two faced and dumb.

HB says
: Well as ever you show your disregard for the British fans but perhaps this next question will make you think favourably of your colleagues

Q3       If you had been presenting this award, who would you have given it to and why?

ED says: Which award you talk of? Villain of the year or Match of the year?

No matter – if I was to present Villain of the year I would present to Marcus King, it brought a tear to my eye to see him break his younger brother. If I present Match of the year I would present to Marcus King and his wimp brother Jim, but would not let Jim collect his half of the award – instead I would give both to Marcus – he proved his strength and that he was the better brother but I was not presenting, I was in Mexico at the awards time … no matter, I deserved the awards I got, and should have won more
HB says: I expected you would choose one of the Word Association and it is interesting that you chose Marcus over LGT. Of course it was not your choice it was the fans and for some reason they did choose you (each to their own I suppose). Anyway the last question is a bit of fun if you understand the word

Q4       If you could have won any award, real or imaginary, what award would you have liked to win?

ED says: Perhaps next year the BWP will introduce 2 new things.

1. The Superstar of the Millennium – winner being me!

and

2. A new, better and male interviewer who is polite and respectful to their champion!

HB says: Very sexist El Destello but I would expect nothing less from you. Thank you for answering the questions so fully, as usual.

ED says: I haven’t finished

HB says: Go on then (Hells Belles sighs)

ED says: Su bien venida mujer pequeña – I am now done

HB says: That phrase apparently means “you’re welcome little woman” – well I hope that’s what it means.
