Formation of an Association

This post is a guest post by our esteemed General Manager “The Word” Rudy Wynne. Ben Fordyce & the rest of the BWP Web Team would like to remind everybody that the views expressed by Rudy Wynne in every way respect the views of the BWP Web Team and the BWP as a whole, with the possible exception of Steve Saxon & some of the wrestlers.

In recent weeks, I have been disappointed with the lies and propaganda spread by a section of the BWP Locker Room & especially the fans. Recently chants of “Bin Rudy Wynne”, along with the general unfavourable reception with some of the newer members of the BWP, makes me disappointed. I understand there is a source of the problem, three sources, and those three people are the BWP World Catchweight Champion Seb Winters, “The Metal” Jim King, and “G-Man” Simon Gaytley.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that the lies and the propaganda defecated by these three ruffians will stop for you, the BWP loyal audience, at the next show, BWP Cruel Intentions on the 7th November in Acton Community Centre in Wrexham.

First off Jim King. You are merely a cheerleader for your two masters, which is why I have formed a working relationship with your brother, Marcus King. At Wrexham, you will once again face the one man you have never beaten. Your own brother. Sure, you came close at the last show, but you nearly killed yourself with a suicidal dive. For what? To appease the fans? Sorry. But they don’t care, and now I don’t care. That is why I will be putting you in a match against your brother one more time.

And Seb Winterz? You will be facing the other member of this association of Rudy Wynne’s – Lord Graham Thomas. Lies and propaganda have been spread about LGT’s losing streak. So what if Frankie Sloan rolled him up with a handful of tights, and he slipped, fell and crashed over the top rope? He has been dominating since his return, destroying Brad Matthews and putting him on the injured list. Lord Graham Thomas is a worthwhile champion, which is why he will be getting a shot at the BWP World Catchweight Championship at Cruel Intentions.

And finally, the big crippled thorn in my side G-Man. You may have The Sax Man’s stroke, but that’s about it. You are nothing, a small fossil in the annals of history. But yet, I can’t destroy you. You lost to the talented JokeRico & The Goons, who wiped the floor with you. Sax Man thinks he’s evened the odds, but in truth he has given me an opening to finish you off once and for all.

You see, the Sure Shot Challenge guarentees a contract for the duration of not only before it’s enforced (which is 12 months), but also for the the length of time that they will be champion. I know for a fact that 2 weeks after Cruel Intentions, your contract expries! You’re using it to buy another 12 months on your contract, that’s the point! Well it’s not going to happen. I have an insurance policy. I don’t want to use it. Please, for your sake, don’t make me use it. But if this gladiator of the squared circle was to be unleashed at Wrexham, he will not only be the victor of the Sure Shot Challenge, he will also become the new member of the association of “The Word” Rudy Wynne, Lord Graham Thomas & Marcus King.

He will be the new member of the association against all the lies and the propaganda.

He will be the new member of…The Word Association.

Sax Issues Sure Shot Challenge

BREAKING NEWS: BWP Founder, Steve ‘The Sax Man’ Saxon, has confirmed that he will be having even more say at the next BWP Event, Cruel Intentions in Wrexham, North Wales on Saturday 7th November 2009 by setting one of the many matches to be held that night.

The Cruel Intentions event is the brain-child of BWP General Manager Rudy Wynne, but BWP Founder Steve Saxon has declared that one match of that particular event will be for the ‘Sure Shot Challenge’ which means that the winner of the match/challenge will be awarded a unique legallly binding contract that will allow them to call for a shot at the BWP World Catchweight Championship any time within 12 months of winning the match.

Sax has stated that ‘through the interest of fairness, after the Stoke show and viewing videos of the Liverpool show, it appears that my illustrious General Manager, Rudy Wynne, has taken a disliking to BWP Superstar The G-Man Simon Gaytley.  I feel that it is not good business to single out a competitor, especially one that draws as much attention and money as The G-Man does right now, therefore representing myself in the Sure Self Challenge will be none other than The G-Man Simon Gaytley.  This is my final decision, and not one that The Word may alter – however in the same ‘interest of fairness’ I am allowing and willing Rudy Wynne to select a member of the BWP Roster to have the 2nd entry in this challenge, therefore he may select any Superstar he deems appropriate to face Simon Gaytley – the winner of the match will then gain themselves a chance to call for a title shot against the champion, whomever that may b, at any time within a 12 month period from the date that the match commences.’

This ground shattering news will certainly be a call for the BWP General Manager to take immediate action.  Who will The Word select to represent him at his aptly named Cruel Intentions event on November 7th?  With a BWP title shot in the balance, as well as being able to face and beat the boss, Steve Saxon, The Word Rudy Wynne will have all eyes focused on him.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Brothers At War

brothers at war

YouTube Preview Image
The BWP Nation watched in amazement as Brothers Jim & Marcus King battled against each other at the Crosby Takeover Show in Crosby, Liverpool on September 11th 2009.  This sibling rivalry began back in July as BWP General Manager ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne put the Brothers in a BWP World Catchweight Championship qualifying match, both siblings seemingly seemed reluctant to enter the match together, but none-the-less commenced in what began as a friendly battle as instructed by the newly appointed GM.

Although the match began as a friendly exchange of wrestling moves, it soon became clear that the older brother Marcus King was focused on putting himself in the final match for the BWP gold as he turned on his younger brother The Metal.  Since that life changing night in Wrexham, Marcus King has shown his allegiance with the BWP GM and has tried to put his younger brother down at every opportunity – and in Crosby this past week, the brothers finally got the opportunity to prove which of the two was the better in the ring as they fought tooth and nail in front of a lively crowd.

The match was brutal from start to finish – the end result was disappointing for both of the brothers as well as for the BWP Nation as no winner was declared as both men were knocked out after a death defying and life threatening move put both competitors out for the count – referee Tom Richards had no alternative but to declare the match a draw as neither brother was fit to continue the match – they had literally battled each other to the point that neither man could stand.

This clearly indicates that both men will meet once again somewhere down the line, for pride, for reputation and for their own peace of mind – when will this return battle take place?  All eyes are on BWP General Manager Rudy Wynne to set the date, one thing is for sure, if their last epic battle was anything to go by, the BWP Nation will be in store for a sensational match up!

The Champ Prevents The Phoenix From Rising

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

champ_phoenixAs BWP Champion Seb Winterz was set to defend his title i Crosby, Liverool against The Iron Duke, The Word Rudy Wynne stepped in to state that he had a last minute change in order to test the Peoples Champ – his opponent that night would not be the British Wrestling Legend of the Iron Duke, but instead would be the ruthless Sean Phoenix.

In yet another attempt to strip the champions title from his waist, The Word pitted Sean Phoenix agianst Seb Winterz in a match that was hard hitting and high impact – ultimately the Wizard of Blizzard was able to fend off Phoenix, the battle certainly took its toll on the the BWP World Catchweight Champion – much to the dismay of Rudy Wynne

BWP Cruel Intentions Wrexham, 7th November 2009

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

bwp_cruel_intentions2
The BWP return to Acton, Wrexham in North Wales on 7th November 2009 as BWP General Manager ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne has demanded that certain Superstars are on hand for him to provide suitable matches for.   Nobody yet knows who The Word is targeting in this seemingly aptly named show, however Cruel Intentions s set to be yet another sell out show for the BWP.

Last time the BWP showcased their talent in Wrexham, the BWP GM had a less than positive reaction from the Welsh crowd and ended up being planted on his backside by the highly popular G-Man – will the return visit see the same results or had the General Manager learnt from his past mistakes?

Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated return to North Wales.

G-Man and The Word No Joking!

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Last week in Crosby, Liverpool at the BWP Takeover Show – BWP General Manager, Rudy Wynne pitted the G-Man Simon Gaytley against 3 of the newest members of the BWP, JokerRico & The Goons.  In this controversial decision by The Word, G-Man fought for his life and reputation against three of the sickest athletes in the wrestling industry to date, despite his efforts G-Man was unsuccessful in the 3 on 1 competition, but not without on hell of a fight.

The Liverpool crowd watched in amazement as The Pink Gladiator held his own against JokerRico and his Goons for over 20 minutes – until their combined antics were too much for Gaytley to withstand no more.

After G-Mans hard fought match you would think that the ‘impartial’ General Manager would lay off the peoples favourite, sadly not, The Word Rudy Wynne then informed that G-Man that as a result of the physical interaction they had at the last Wrexham show, that should Simon Gaytley lay a finger on the power-head without just provocation, the G-Man would be fired on the spot.

The G-Mans reaction then provoked further controversy as he spat in the face of the General Manager, leaving The Word absolutely livid.  What will next months ‘Cruel Intentions’ show hold for the G-Man?  The very place that this feud began just 2 months ago … stay tuned for further updates.

BWP Superstar Interviews: The Word Rudy Wynne

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Welcome to another Superstar interview with me, Ben Fordyce. This week we have a very special guest, the General Manager of the BWP, “The Word” Rudy Wynne. Welcome Rudy.

The Word: Great to be here. At last.

Ben: Yes thank you for coming. I understand you are a busy man.

The Word: Yes I am! It’s a fascinating life being the general manager, you have advertising networks to negotiate with, revenue streams to expore and contracts to sign. It’s a tough life.

Ben: I know, which is why we’re so appreciative you’re here. Now, a little background to The Word. Please, tell me about Rudy.

The Word: Well, I grew up a wrestling fan. My first show was the same as many British people, Summerslam 92. My personal favourite match was The Natural Disasters vs. The Beverley Brothers, largely because I was a huge Earthquake fan. I had previously discovered WWF Wrestlefest in the arcades of Llandudno, with the Canadian behemoth repeatedly kicking my arse. Anyway, I kept watching and watching, eventually getting the chance to live my dream in a less than reputable federation. As a smart man, I jumped ship, to what I imagined would be heaven, in the BWP.

Ben: “Imagined would be heaven”?

The Word: Yes Ben. I imagined I’d have the cushty life as I rose through the ranks of the BWP. I began as an apprentice referee, easily outshining him to become head referee, and then becoming general manager. In the space of one year! How incredible is that?!?

Ben: Very much so. Some would say your success has come at a price. The price of the fans respect for one….

The Word: Look, I didn’t earn the monniker “The Most Controversial Man Since Records Began” by being nice to everybody. There are too many fans who think they can play “Championship General Manager” and know what’s write, what brings people in. Fact is they don’t. There’s merchandising, there’s advertising, there’s foreign markets, there’s keeping the owners happy…

Ben: About that, The Sax Man has made known his disapproval of some of your matchmaking practices, what do you say to him?

The Word: Simple – it isn’t a one man operation. Britannia Wrestling Promotions is a large organisation behind the scenes, with a number of investors, one of which is The Sax Man. He is the principal owner, but he requires the backing of the entire board before making a decision. Luckily, common sense has prevailed and that the rest of the board have my backing. Why? Because it would cost them far too much to fire me.

Ben: I see. Onto firing, I understand you have a special message for one member of the roster, “The G-Man” Simon Gaytley.

The Word: Yes. Simon! You are not irreplaceable. I saw your schanigans with Sax at the last show, the politicing behind the scenes. What does G-Man stand for? General Manager? You physically assaulted me at Wrexham, and I want to make sure it won’t happen again. I’m making an example of you G-Man, that is why, you cannot physically lay one finger on me unless provoked. If you do, you’re finding your old crippled carcass another job sunshine!

Ben: Wow, powerful stuff.

The Word: Yes, and let that be a example to the rest of the roster. Don’t cross me, or you will be stacking shelves in supermarkets before you know it!

Ben: Okay, onto the final questions. One word answers. Here we go. Zach Diamond.

The Word: Misled

Ben: El Destello

The Word: Talented

Ben: Lord Graham Thomas

The Word: Champion

Ben: Marcus King

The Word: Improving

Ben: Brad Matthews

The Word: Pest

Ben: Simon Gaytley

The Word: Crippled

Ben: The Metal

The Word: Disappearing

Ben: Keith Myatt

The Word: Legend

Ben: Andy Baker

The Word: Impressive

Ben: And finally Sebastian Winterz

The Word: Troublesome

Ben: Finally, who is your least favourite member of the BWP locker room.

The Word: Simon Gaytley by a country mile. We’re too different, and he stands for everything I am against. Enforced Euthanasia needs to be brought in for people like him. He’s served his purpose years ago. Now it’d be a good time to lay him to rest.

Ben: And who’s the longest in the showers?

The Word: Not me. I’m the shortest. Easily the shortest. In and out, I’m very quick.

Ben: Thanks for that. And thanks for your time.

The Word: The pleasure was all yours.

“The Word” Rudy Wynne will be appearing at the BWP Crosby Takeover tomorrow night at Crosby Civic Center, Liverpool, at 7:30pm. Tickets available on the door.

The G-Man – Last Man Standing

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

gmansax

Silverdale, Stoke on Trent – the Michael Barrs Memorial Cup Rumble was an action packed challenge that pitted all BWP Superstars against each other to be crowned the first ever winner of the Michael Barrs Memorial Cup, but only one man could walk away with the sentimental award … and on Friday 4th September 2009 that man was The G-Man Simon Gaytley!

Every 2 minutes of the Rumble a randomly selected BWP Superstar would enter the ring – the only way to be eliminated was to be tossed over the top rope with both feet hitting the venue floor … however, there was a slight change of plan for the first two entrants of the Rumble as BWP Founder Steve ‘The Sax Man’ Saxon kicked off the competition by declaring that viewing the earlier match between The G-Man and Derek ‘The Motivator’ Evans, that saw Marcus King interact in the match and cause G-Man the loss via count-out, that the first two entrants of the Rumble, in the interest of fairness, would be The G-Man and Marcus King!

G-Man entered at number 1 – with a reluctant Marcus King following at number 2 … G-Man immediately battered down King, with blood still flowing down the G-Mans face from his earlier battle against The Motivator, this was not enough to hold back the Pink Assassin as he not only clawed his way through King, but each and every other BWP Superstar – eventually being left with the mammoth Andy Baker – as Baker clotheslined G-Man over the top rope, his own momentum sent him over the top rope also, however G-Mans experience allowed him time to grab the top rope – Baker tumbled to the venue floor, and G-Man was left hanging on the apron to the clear delight of the Silverdale crowd!  The winner of the BWP Michael Barrs Memorial Cup – The G-Man Simon Gaytley!

G-Man was then presented the cup by BWP Founder Steve Saxon as they embrased in the centre of the ring – G-Man then made an emotional and heartfelt gesture as he left the ring, and presented the cup to the family of Michael Barrs, followed by inviting the nephews of Michael into the ring along with the BWP roster.

Congratulations to The G-Man on his desrrved and hard fought victory and thank you to all of the BWP Nation for their support in Silverdale.

The Champs Biggest Challenge Yet

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

champduke
One week after his successful debut as BWP World Catchweight Champion, Seb Winterz faces an even bigger challenge as he goes one-on-one with British Legend, The Iron Duke at the BWP Takeover event in Crosby, Liverpool on Friday 11 September 2009.

The Iron Duke, having been a success in many countries across the world, has been deligated as number one contender by BWP General Manager ‘The Word’ Rudy Wynne, who has shown obvious disapproval over Seb Winterz holding the BWP gold.  Will The Words choice of opponent be too much for the champ?  How will Winterz’ head and body bode against the brutal Iron Duke just 7 days after overcoming the mammoth Andy Baker in Silverdale, Stoke on Trent?

One thing is for sure, Seb Winterz will head into this conflict with everything he has got to offer as the champion of Britannia Wrestling Promotions, the question is – will it be enough to keep hold of his title?
