The Wrestler Mickey Rourke Wins Best Actor BAFTA

The BAFTA award for Best Actor has been awarded to Mickey Rourke, for his role as Randy ‘The Ram’ Robinson in the blockbuster film of 2009, The Wrestler.

It is strongly believed that Rourke’s BAFTA win will put him in good stead for the forthcoming Oscars in America, where Rourke could pick up the most prestigious and profiled movie award in the world.

Although reports suggest that Mickey Rourke may be jeopardising his chances of winning the prestigious Oscar award by appearing at the WWE’s annual Wrestlemania event, that both the WWE & Rourke have been promoting in the media as what seems to be a programmed attempt to see Mickey Rourke Vs Chris Jericho, one of the main event WWE Superstars.

Congratulations to Mickey Rourke on his BAFTA win, and all the best for the Oscar awards.
